The National Piping Centre's magazine Piping Today, has just published an article about the SPBA's online archive. Written by well-known piping scholar Mike Patterson, the article takes a sweeping overview of piping on the Canadian prairie, and then narrows to examine the growing collection displayed online at the Saskatchewan Pipe Band Association web site. The article includes some examples of the great history on the site, including some material that recently came to light about piping in the Prince Albert area.

Piping Today is an excellent magazine, and comes highly recommended. The magazine is research and education oriented, while at the same time covering upcoming and past events. It is a  creative and entertaining blend of news, features, research and opinion, and all delivered in a positive, community minded way.
