| The Yorkton & District Pipe Band was established in 1978 and performs at community functions in the Yorkton District.
The community of Saltcoats, near Yorkton, was aprimarly Scottish settlement, and during the 1970s and 1980s the band organized an annual Highland games at Saltcoats.
